The sweetest thing <3
Since 2011, I have been raising a herd of Nigerian Dwarf goats. From the beginning, my goal was to become a serious dairy goat breeder, breeding for milk and conformation, but I knew absolutely ZERO about raising livestock, much less goats. I would spend hours and hours doing research on how to raise goats, how to keep them healthy, and how to improve the breed through planned matings. With each new question,  I would find about a hundred different answers.  I had trouble finding a local veterinarian who knew alot about goats, so I grasped at straws for the first couple of years. I made MANY mistakes and learned the hard way about heartbreak and loss, but at the same time, I learned the most from the most difficult situations.  I eventually found some new breeder friends who helped me along the way, and saw me through my share of crises.

Being an educator by trade, my mission has always been to share information and to help people.  Through the years, I have helped many people start their own herds and although I will be the first to admit that I don't know EVERYTHING about raising goats, I have developed my own protocol which is working.  My passion for goats, and in particular for the Nigerian breed, has led me to develop this website to be a central source of information for those who are searching for answers to goat related questions. I hope that you find it to be resourceful and interesting.
